Syriac workshop

What do "coffee", "giraffe" and "checkmate" have in common? - Correct, these words originally come from the Arabic language. Nevertheless, Arabic is not just Arabic: If you think about how different Low German and Bavarian are, it is clear that there are also big differences between the Arabic languages. On February 24th, 2022 we would therefore like to deal with the Syrian Arabic variety. In 90 minutes we will deal with the Syrian language and script, get to know letters and words and try out Syrian Arabic practically. The workshop will be held in German and is aimed at people with no previous knowledge. It is of course completely free.
